FAQS
Are all cars available?
Yes, but all cars are not available on all days. Cars need maintenance and some have other racing commitments so please check your desired car is available on your chosen date on our calendar of events. As we have a lot of older vehicles in the fleet, sometimes mechanical failures can happen last minute or on the day, out of our control. If this was to happen then you will have the option of alternative vehicles of the same value to drive on the day. Our terms and conditions do state we have a right to withdraw a vehicle at any time due to mechanical issues without prior notice.
Please be aware that with experiences in the GT40 and Ariel Atom, the trainer does help assist with the gear changes in order to minimise risk whilst out in the car. These particular vehicles are very easy to change into the wrong gear accidentally which unfortunately can cause a lot of damage.
The Ultimate Italian Job Experience is only available at certain venues. These include: Abingdon, Elvington and Wattisham.
Are the cars insured?
Yes but there is a £5,000 damage excess that is payable by the driver if any damage is caused whilst they are behind the wheel. You can cover yourself against the excess with an optional £29 damage waiver (available in extras or on the day). This is a non-refundable payment. If you do choose to opt-out, we do have to take credit/debit card details on arrival. These details are destroyed at the end of an event if no damage is caused and no charges will be made. Please ensure you bring a credit card on the day if you are opting out of the damage waiver. This must be a card with a minimum £5000 limit. Please note our payment systems do not accept American Express. Please note that there will be other drivers out on track at the same time as you.
THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE PRODUCT OR POLICY
Are there always trainers in the cars?
Yes, there is a driving trainer sat in car with you at all times out on track.
Are your cars the real ones?
No, our cars are very close to the originals used in the films but, with the exception of General Lee, they are replicas of the movie cars. The GT40 is a replica built by Superperformance.
Can I bring guests?
Spectators are more than welcome however we cannot always guarantee good visibility as we are not a spectator based activity.
What do I need to wear?
Please be aware that all of our events are completely outdoors and open to the elements. It's always worth packing a coat or umbrella even if the forecast looks sunny as airfields and circuits tend to be very windy!
Drivers should wear sensible shoes or trainers for driving and comfy trousers. Legs must be fully covered if your driving the Shelby Cobra or Mustang GT350 as these cars have side exit exhausts that get very warm!
Can I drive without a licence?
Yes, drivers can be as young as 10 years old, providing they can reach the pedals with the padding we provide. Minimum height restriction for junior drivers is 135 cm. Most of our trainers are ARDS or ADI qualified and all staff are police checked. We are unable to allow non-licence holders to drive at the Castle Combe venue. Please bear in mind that for juniors, experiences will be in miles or minutes, whichever comes first (3 miles or 5 minutes, 6 miles or 10 minutes).

Can I drive your cars on the road?
Some of our cars are available for weekend/event hire. Please get in contact for details.
Can I upgrade my package/voucher?
Yes, please contact us with your requirements. Please note that if your voucher includes a high speed passenger ride, this does not need to be pre-booked and will be added to your booking on the day itself. Please make sure you bring your voucher to the event.
Do all cars run in the rain?
Yes, we run our events in all weathers unless it is deemed so extreme that is unsafe to be on track.
Do the cars have traction control?
Some do, some don’t. A lot of our muscle / race cars don’t so you need to be careful with the throttle in some of the monsters!
Do I have to drive quickly?
Not at all, our trainers will help you enjoy the drive however you would like to.
How fast can I go?
As fast as you like however please bear in mind that we are a driving experience company and not a track day. Our expert racing trainers will help show you the fastest, safest way around the circuit. It is worth noting though that some of our cars are 50 years old and cannot be driven in the same manner as modern super cars. Please note that a lot of our venues are airfields and cars have to be driven to the track capability as well as the cars capability. There will be multiple cars out on track at the same time.
What tracks are available?
We run at Blyton Park in North Lincoln, Elvington in York, Abingdon in Oxfordshire, Bicester in Oxford, Tockwith in York, Perranporth in Cornwall (bi-annually), Lichfield Race Track, Tibenham in Norfolk, Honington RAF in Bury St Edmunds, Three Sisters in Wigan, Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton and Bovington in Wareham (closed at the moment). Our Adventure circuit is NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. We run a separate track for junior drivers at Abingdon, Three Sisters, Dunsfold and Tibenham.
CASTLE COMBE - £30 upgrade for 2023. Full License holders only at this venue. Please note that this circuit is 2 miles long, therefore a 3 mile experience will consist of 2 laps and a 6 mile experience will be 3 laps
BLYTON PARK - £10 upgrade on weekdays for 2023 - We often use a longer circuit to enhance your experience when possible. This is 2 miles long so a 3 mile experience will consist of 2 laps and a 6 mile experience will be 3 laps.
BOVINGTON *CLOSED UNTIL 2023* - This circuit is 3 miles a lap, so a 3 mile experience will consist of 1 lap and a 6 mile experience will be 2 laps.
SUNDERLAND - £25 upgrade for 2023. 1 mile a lap.
Please note that Truck/Optimus experiences are not available at Castle Combe, Bicester, Northampton or Lichfield.
Any customers who do not hold a week round voucher will have a weekend fee surcharge applied at the time of booking.
WOWCHER VOUCHERS + other 3rd party vouchers - Wowcher and some other voucher companies display their vouchers in laps, each lap being a mile long (3 laps = 3 miles). Please note that at certain venues, as described above, we use longer circuits to enhance your experience meaning that a 3 mile experience could vary for the amount of laps received.
How do the timings on the day work?
We advise customers to book all vehicles onto the same time slot however if you have more than three cars to drive, please DO NOT book the last session of the day. The time that you are choosing is your arrival time and will not be the time you start driving. Please be aware that you will need to allow up to 3 hours at the venue from your session start time to complete your experience.
Trucks - There are three truck drivers booked in per hourly session - each with a 20 minute slot. Please note that the 20 minute session includes all time in the cab including a quick talk through the controls and also any of your own photo taking opportunities. For example, if you are booked in for the 10.30am session, please make sure you are signed in by this time, and your unique drive time slot will be between 11am and 12pm. Please do still allow 2-3 hours at the venue in case of any delays.
Refund Policy
Regretfully under no circumstances can we cancel or refund an experience once a date has been booked. Direct vouchers are non-refundable. If a car or event becomes unavailable due to no fault of the customer then a replacement vehicle or date will be offered. Due to the fact events can be cancelled at short notice, we would advise against booking non-refundable accommodation. You are able to make amendments to your booking, no later than 7 days before the event date for a £5 admin fee; after this an admin fee of £29 per car will be charged (this fee will be larger for race track tuition cancellations). Please note that an email would not suffice, we will need you to contact us on 01869277112 more than 7 days before your event is due to take place. Our office hours are 9.00-17.30 Monday-Friday so please take this into consideration (there will be occasional weekdays where the office is closed should all staff be needed on event). Media purchases are sold as seen and non-refundable. SD cards can be easily corrupted if used incorrectly so please take care as we do not keep back-ups of your footage. There will be an £80 fine for non-returned SD cards & lanyards.
What if I have a query or problem on the day
Whilst we try our best to make sure all customers have the best time they can, we can appreciate sometimes issues can arise. If you do have any problems or issues on the day of your event, this needs to be addressed and brought up with a senior member of staff at the venue before you leave your event. We will be more than happy to help in any way possible. Once you have left the event there is very little that can be done.
What currency do you accept?
GBP is the only currency we accept.
What are the office opening hours?
9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. There will be occasional days we are not in the office during weekdays; these will be dates which coincide with our event days on our calendar of events as we will be on location. We have a 7 day turnaround for emails sent to [email protected].
Can I bring dogs to the event?
Aside from guide dogs, we have a strict no dogs’ policy at our venues.
